Chris Percival is the main point of contact for Cambridgeshire WIRE, with just a small team supporting her. She works with local wildlife trusts, zoos and other contacts, and always has people she can call on, but there are only so many hours in a day for one person. A network of local points of contact means help is closer to hand wherever an animal is found, and means Chris isn't carrying all of it alone.

Ways you can help
- Being a local point of contact people can reach when they find something injured
- Fostering an animal for a few weeks while it recovers
- Driving a rescue to us, or to a vet
- Keeping an eye out in your own village or neighbourhood
- Fundraising, or just spreading the word locally
A word on safety
Wild animals can be frightened and unpredictable, and larger animals, deer especially, can be dangerous. Please don't approach or attempt to handle anything you're not confident with, particularly larger wildlife. If you're ever unsure what to do, contact us first before doing anything.
