A Thank You From the Team at Medivet Impington

A hawk standing on a puppy pad in a vet's kennel, brought in to Medivet Impington on a Friday evening

Vets see a lot of wildlife come through their doors, often out of hours and often with nowhere obvious for the animal to go next. We work closely with several practices around Cambridge, and the team at Medivet Impington kindly sent this over for the website. It’s shared here with their permission, in Kelly’s own words.

Chris is such an invaluable person for our wildlife. Her passion and dedication to help these animals is unmeasurable. We can call Chris day or night and she will do whatever she can to make them more comfortable and rehabilitate them with the hope of release back into the wild.

My image of the hawk is a prime example. He was brought into us on a Friday evening at 6:00pm. I called Chris for advice as I knew she had experience with them, however I was well aware it was late. Within 15 minutes she was already at the practice collecting him for me.

At Medivet Impington we appreciate her help hugely and the wildlife of Cambridge are very lucky to have her.

Thank you to Kelly and everyone at Medivet Impington. If you’re a vet practice in Cambridgeshire and you’d like a wildlife contact you can call out of hours, get in touch.
